Shari Silkoff is Jewish youth activist in Florida.

She is a professional Interior Designer and Decorator and an active member of the artistic community. Her paintings have been shown in galleries in Connecticut and in Southern Florida[1].

Education

Shari Silkoff has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Paier College of Art[2].

Communist controversy

In 1988, Jason Rabinowitz, a member of the Young Communist League USA was elected as president of the student body at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, with co-candidate Shari Silkoff . This resulted in considerable controversy[3].

A University of Massachusetts student judiciary board was called in yesterday to settle a dispute over a Communist's election as copresident of the student body.
"We feel we have the right to take office, and it will be only a matter of time before we do," copresident-elect Jason Rabinowitz said.
Rabinowitz, a member of the Young Communist League, was elected March 15 with his cocandidate, noncommunist Shari Silkoff.

Jewish youth education

While an advisor for Connecticut Valley Region in 1996 Shari Silkoff began teaching Creative Art and Judaic Studies at both Kallah and ILTC programs. In 1997 she was hired as Assistant Director for Florida Region and began working full time for BBYO alsong with continuing as an educator in the area of Creative Arts and Judaic Studies[4].
