Rose Shaw

Rose Shaw is a New Mexico activist. She was the wife of the late Emil Shaw.

Rose Shaw, a retired teacher in Albuquerque, N.M., is on the executive boards of the Gray Panthers of Greater Albuquerque and the New Mexico Alliance for Retired Americans, and is on the executive committee of New Mexico Educators Retirees (AFT-AFL-CIO), the retiree arm of the American Federation of Teachers. [1]

In 2004, Emil Shaw was chair of the New Mexico Communist Party. Rose Shaw was a member of the Communist Party’s national committee.[2]

Environment Commission

In 1995 Rose Shaw served on the Environment Commission of the Communist Party USA[3].

Green Party

In 1996, Rose Shaw was , Sandoval County Co-Chair of the Green Party.[4]

Endorsed Communist Party Call

On March 30 2002 the Communist Party USA paper People’s Weekly World called for a national holiday in honor of late Farm Workers Union leader Cesar Chavez. The article was followed by a long list of endorsers[5]including Rose Shaw, Almost all endorsers were confirmed members of the Communist Party USA.

In September 2006 the Peoples Weekly World[6]listed several members of the New Mexico Communist Party USA.
