Robert Greenwald is the founder and president of Brave New Films, a "nonprofit film and campaigns organization whose work is distributed for free in concert with nonprofit partners and movements in order to educate and mobilize for progressive causes."


Robert Greenwald "is an award-winning producer and director of more than 60 features, television movies and miniseries. His work has garnered awards from organizations including the ACLU and Physicians for Social Responsibility, in addition to an Office of the Americas Activist in the Trenches award, a Liberty Hill Foundation Upton Sinclair Award, the Robert Wood Johnson Award, and a Peacemaker Award from The Los Angeles Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild.

Robert Greenwald was listed on the Board[1] of Brave New Films as of January 26 2018.


Robert Greenwald was an identified member of JournoList - an email group of approximately 400 "progressive" and socialist journalists, academics and "new media" activists.

JournoList members reportedly coordinated their messages in favor of Barack Obama and the Democrats, and against Sarah Palin and the Republican Party. JournoList was founded in 2007 and was closed down in early 2010.[2]
