She is engaged to Adam Gaffney.[1]

Bio

According to her own website, Natalie Shure "is a Los Angeles-based writer and researcher whose work focuses on history, health, and politics. Her writing has appeared in The Nation, The Atlantic, BuzzFeed, Slate, Jacobin, The Daily Beast, Los Angeles Times, Salon, Pacific Standard, New York Observer, Metro, Democratic Left, and more. She is currently the Head of Research for Adam Ruins Everything on TruTV."[2]

Praise for 'progressive' district attorneys

In June 2019, Natalie Shure tweeted [3] that "DAs like Larry Krasner in Philadelphia and Kim Foxx in Chicago have used their offices with explicit intent of reducing incarceration and more broadly, decriminalizing poverty." She additionally said:"Prosecutorial discretion - often reflecting the tough-on-crime political context in which such decisions were made - drove mass incarceration. Progressive DAs like Tiffany Caban can operate within a different ideological framework to help reverse it."

Tucker Carlson 'weaponizes hatred'

After members of Smash Racism DC appeared at Fox News pundit Tucker Carlson's home in November 2018, shouting and vandalizing his property, Natalie Shure tweeted "Tucker Carlson has done infinitely more to weaponize hatred than any protesters ever could."[4]

In February 2018, Natalie Shure attended "an interactive discussion about winning radical legislation involving single-payer healthcare, housing justice and other socialist ideals" sponsored by the Los Angeles Democratic Socialists of America's "Political Education and Healthcare Committees."

The event featured Adam Gaffney and Harold Meyerson, who was described as a "longtime socialist leader; noted editor and columnist; DSA NPC 1977-1991; former Honorary Vice Chair, DSA."[5],[6]
