Standing for AD 70

In 2019 Naida Tushnet stood from AD 70 for the California Democratic Party Central Committee.

I retired as the director of evaluation research in an educational research and development agency. After my retirement, I increased my community activism, working for increased minimum wages for hotel workers, and immigrant rights, rent control and inclusionary housing, and reform of the criminal justice system. I am also an active member of the Long Beach Area Peace Network, striving for world peace.

I am a member of the steering committees of Long Beach Rising and the Long Beach Coalition for Good Jobs and a Healthy Community as well as for the Long Beach Area Peace Network. In addition, I serve as president of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at California State University Long Beach, offering a wide range of classes to people over 50.

As a member of both the Womens Democratic Study Club and the Yes We Can Democratic Club, I have been active in electoral politics on the local, state, and national levels. I have always called myself a progressive. I served as a delegate during the last cycle.

I am proud to be running with the Blue Revolution team of progressive delegates, which our community elected in 2017.[2]
