Janelle Grady

Janelle Grady is Director of University Partnerships for Teach For Australia (TFA) and works closely with Deakin University, who won the contract to provide a two year Masters of Teaching for TFA program participants.

Janelle was born in Australia but did her secondary schooling in NZ and went on to Study at University of Auckland and completed a diploma in teaching at Auckland College of Education. Over the past 30 years she has held a number of roles in the education sector in NZ, Australia, the Pacific, Asia and Middle East. These included secondary teaching & adult education as well as Review Officer with the NZ Education Review Office and Curriculum development with the NZ Ministry of Education. Janelle founded and managed an education consultancy company, Educating Global, which provided training and resources for teachers in NZ, Asia and the Middle East.

Throughout her career Janelle has championed the rights of all young people to access quality education. Before joining Teach For Australia she worked in far Nth Queensland on indigenous literacy.[1]
