Over fifty supporters endorsed the appeal including Frank Giese[1]

Tribute to Frank Giese

In 1981, Portland New American Movement paid tribute to Frank Giese on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of NAM, commenting,

Portland NAM honors Frank Giese: teacher, activist, and political prisoner - for 40 years of dedication to freedom and justice.th anniversary.

The tribute was made possible by a grant from Patrick Feely[2]
