Eric Burns

Eric Burns is a political communications and strategy professional with more than a decade of experience working in local, state and national politics. He also serves in an advisory capacity to Media Matters. He recently left Media Matters where he spent four years, first as Communications Director, then Chief of Staff and finally President. He is starting a political communications consultancy, Bullfight Strategies.[1]



Early Life/Family/Personal

Education

Burns holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin .[2]

Career

Burns served as the communications director for the House Rules Committee and ranking member Louise Slaughter (D-NY). Prior to that, Burns was the primary spokesman and a senior adviser to Rep. Chris Bell (D-TX). He is a former investment banker.[2]
