Eliza Griswold is a writer whose works have been published in The New Yorker, TheNew York TimesMagazine, Harper’s Magazine, and The New Republic. She was a 2007 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University and received the first Robert I. Friedman Award for international investigative reporting. Griswold has recently published her first book of poems, Wideawake Field.

As at May 4, 2010, Eliza Griswold served as a Schwartz Fellow for the New America Foundation. Founded in 1999 by Ted Halstead, the Foundation is a leftist public policy institute which claims to be nonpartisan, and seeks pragmatic solutions to "the next generation of challenges facing the United States".
