Corvallis CCDS chapter meets monthly. At our November meeting, we had a potluck to honor The October Revolution. In the first part of the meeting we disscused the last two chapters of the book "Capitalism and Climate Change".

We talked about the books we were reading about the Red October. Ed and June told us about their visits to Soviet Union. We lamented that at the end it was a totalitarian regime.

Communist Party reformer

In 1991, Ed Hemmingson, Oregon, was one of several hundred Communist Party USA members to sign the a paper "An initiative to Unite and Renew the Party" - most signatories left the Party after the December 1991 conference to found Committees of Correspondence.[2]

CoC National Conference endorser

In 1992 Ed Hemmingson, Oregon PeaceWorks, endorsed the Committees of Correspondence national conference Conference on Perspectives for Democracy and Socialism in the 90s held at Berkeley California July 17-19.[3]

In 1993, members of the Oregon State Committee of the Committees of Correspondence included Diana C. Gildea, Ed Hemmingson, June Hemmingson, Tristan Masat, Jason W. Moore (press officer), Michelle Parks, Jim Salt.[4]

In 1995 Ed and June Hemmingson were listed[5] as two of the "CoC members and friends" donating to Committees of Correspondence. They contributed $50.

In 2006 members of the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism National Coordinating Committee were[6];
