Defending Sandra Fewer

Don Misumi of Richmond District Rising attacked the effort to recall Supervisor Sandra Fewer.

November 25, 2019 supporters of San Francisco Supervisor Sandra Fewer came out to Civic Center Plaza today to denounce a recall campaign against her sparked by an anti-police chant she led at newly elected District Attorney Chesa Boudin’s campaign rally on election night.

Dear Friends,

As you know, I generally do not do broad fundraising pitches - primarily because I am saving you all up for the really important stuff. And the important stuff to me is funding an effort to make some fundamental change in this world towards a more just society. I am part of a new organization called LeftRoots, and I believe that it has the potential to unite progressive forces into a powerful voice that will effect real meaningful change in our society. We are launching a first-ever national fundraising campaign to raise $30K in 5 days. I'm asking you to try to donate whatever amount you can, and please try to stretch. Your money will not go directly to funding a cure for cancer, or help the homeless, or provide disaster relief assistance. But what it will do is help establish an organization that is seeking a world where private appeals like this are unnecessary because we as a society will take responsibility for our collective health and where health care is not a privilege of the wealthy, we will take responsibility for the less fortunate and where wealth created by the people will actually serve the people so that everyone will have the opportunity to fully develop as human beings. Our cause is just and we have an amazing group of grassroots organizers from all across the country who have enthusiastically joined. Support us if you can. You can donate here: or you can send checks payable to LeftRoots directly to me and I will turn it in. Thank you!
