Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota makes "millions of dollars by resettling Somali Muslims in Minnesota."

Christopher Beach became Vice President and Chief Development Officer in July 2015. As a key member of the senior leadership team, he is responsible for building financial resources to support greater organizational impact and visibility throughout Minnesota.

To develop strong community partnerships and cultivate philanthropic support, Christopher works closely with finance teams, senior management and development staff. Under his focused leadership, his team works to create strategic plans to solicit major gifts to support the organization’s annual fund, special events, planned giving, corporate and foundation support and capital campaigns.

Christopher received his bachelor’s degree in English Literature from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. A few years later, he returned to St. Mary’s where he earned a master’s in Educational Leadership and Instruction. His higher education continued as a participant in a leadership development program offered at The Lasallian Leadership Institute.

Prior to joining Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, Christopher was a member of the Totino-Grace High School faculty, serving as Vice President, where he managed fundraising operations, enrollment and financial aid, marketing and communications and helped to develop a strategic plan to grow the organization’s community culture.[2]
