Alyce Gowdy Wright
Alyce Gowdy Wright... is an associate in Nutter’s Real Estate and Finance Department. Her legal experience includes serving as a law clerk to Associate Justice Geraldine S. Hines of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
During law school, Alyce was a member of the Real Estate Law Society and was a finalist in the Boston College Law School Negotiations Competition. She was a recipient of the Sheila McGovern Award, the Reginald Lindsay Public Service Award, the Lois & Jim Champy ’68 Public Service Fellowship, and was selected as a Rappaport Law & Public Policy Fellow. She served as a summer associate at State Street Corporation, as a judicial intern to John E. McDonald of the Boston Municipal Court as part of the BBA Judicial Internship Program, and as a legal fellow in the Governor’s Office Legal Counsel, Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Prior to law school, Alyce was the membership director of United Faculty of Florida in Miami, where she advised statewide counsel regarding Florida Public Employee Relations Commission and District Court decisions impacting employee benefits, accreditation, and state university governance. Previously, she was the executive director of South Florida Jobs with Justice/Neighbors United, where she developed and implemented policy campaigns regarding land use zoning, comprehensive planning, affordable housing, and publicly-funded construction projects. Prior to that, Alyce served as the executive director of the North Carolina Occupational Safety & Health Project in Durham, where she was responsible for strengthening state workplace safety regulations and was a member of the state Occupational Safety and Health Advisory Council.
