DSA Youth Section

In 1991, Jeff Lacher was elected to chair the Democratic Socialists of America, Youth Section Coordinating Committee (SUNY Genesco) .[1]

Socialist Scholars Conference

Jeff Lacher and Karen Marie Gibson of the DSA Youth Section, J. Hughes, Democratic Socialists of America and Shari Ellis were speakers on the Facets of Student & Youth Politics panel sponsored by DSA Youth Section at the Tenth Annual Socialist Scholars Conference. The conference was held April 24-26, 1992 at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, New York City[2]

DSA job assistance

Jeff Lacher, in 1993, an organizer for the Virginia Alliance of State Employees (Communications Workers of America), got his start in the labor movement with the Graduate Student Employees Union (CWA) of the State University of New York. Lacher won his present job on the recommendation of DSAer Dominic Chan, who was then the president of GSEU.[3]


In 1995 Jeff Lacher worked as an organizer for Communication Workers of America.[4]

Communications Workers of America

Jeff Lacher was the Organizing Coordinator for the District 4 Communications Workers of America union based in Cleveland, Ohio[7].
