Ronald (Ron) McCantz was the secretary of the Chicago Chapter of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists.

Ronald McCantz of Seafarers Local 777, Chicago, Illinois was named as a sponsor of the Communist Party USA dominated National Anti-Imperialist Conference in Solidarity With African Liberation held at Dunbar Vocational High School, Martin Luther King Drive, Chicago, October 19 to 21 1973.[1]

Supporting John Lumpkin

In 1978, McCantz was on the Committee to Elect Dr. John R. Lumpkin for the 7th Ward Alderman, Chicago.[2]
