In 2010, Jesse Reich, running for state representative in Massachusetts, 1st Middlesex, was included in a list of the mainly Massachusetts candidates endorsed by the Boston Democratic Socialists of America, published in the The Yankee Radical:^[1][2]

Jesse Reich is running for seat being vacated by Rep. Bob Hargraves because he believes that if government can foster the growth of green indus-tries, problems with environmental degradation and job growth can be resolved. Baystate Biofuels, which Jesse founded, is providing a less expensive, American-made alternative to petroleum diesel. As an educator, Jesse knows the problems facing our schools. As a Representative, he would work to decrease class sizes.
