David "Dave" Loebsack is a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives, representing the 2nd district of Iowa.
Loebsack is currently serving his third term in the United States House of Representatives.
Background
Dave Loebsack, grew up in Sioux City, where he attended East High School. After graduation, he attended Iowa State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree. Loebsack then went on to earn a PhD from the University of California, Davis. In 1982, he moved back to Iowa and became a teacher at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon. Today, he serves as a Professor Emeritus at Cornell College.[1]
