Radical Muslims Threaten the Pope in London

Monday, December 20th, 2010

Cross-posted from the New Zeal blog

This has to be seen to believed.

R-r-r-r-r-adical Muslims Confront Pope Benedict XVI – at a Saturday 18 September demonstration in London.

Check out the segment from 4.20 to 4.35 for an example of religious tolerance.

“With the ideology of truth, we will dominate over all other ways, democracy, secularism, Christianity, Hinduism, Bhuddism. All of them will be under the foot of Islam. And so what?

The following commentary is taken directly from Michael Waller’s Political Warfare blog;

“In this YouTube video, shot September 18, 2010, the protesters can be seen threatening the leader of the world’s Catholics with their “Pope Benedict, you will pay” chant, and holding signs calling for the seat of the Catholic church to be controlled by shariah law. (See the Center for Security Policy’s new report, Shariah – Threat to America, also released this week.)

The words are not overheated rhetoric – they are calls for the pope to be murdered, and a declaration of war on Christians and others.

At 2 minutes and 26 seconds into the video, a militant named Anjem Choudary changes the chant to “Pope Benedict, you will pay/Justice is on its way.”

“Justice,” under shariah law, requires Christians either to convert to Islam, be killed, or submit to Islamic rule as dhimmis.

Amid cries of “Allahu akhbar,” another militant, Abu Rayah, implies that Pope Benedict is a military enemy of Muslims, as a leader of the “crusades.” He exhorts listeners to recall that “this war against Islam and Muslims is military and ideological as well.”

Abu Rayah denounces Pope Benedict for criticizing Islam, and expresses hope that, “inshallah,” the pope will meet “the lions of Islam.”

The militant adds that anyone who insults the prophet Muhammad “deserves capital punishment.” (4:44-4:50)

“Benedict, watch your back!” chants another militant, “Sallahudin [the Muslim warrior who fought the Christian crusaders] is coming back.” (5:18-5:24)

Other cries, as well as signs, denounce Catholicism and Christianity as a “satanic” and “evil ideology.”

The protesters then chant, “Muslims, rise up!” followed by a call for “martyrdom or victory” and chants of “Benedict, terrorist.”

As the pope passed by in his armored vehicle, the Muslim protesters screamed insults in Arabic at him and chanted, “Burn, burn, burn in Hell” (8:36)

The protesters were exclusively male, of various ethnic backgrounds, and obviously trained and organized. Even though they were not criminally violent, the code language they were using as understood by adherents to shariah law show that they should be considered a terrorist threat.”

Hard to disagree Michael. Why are not more moderate Muslims opposing this fanaticism?

Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie is a Liar and a Communist Party “Friend”

Sunday, December 19th, 2010

Cross-posted from the New Zeal blog

Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie has been caught lying – on tape.

When Questioned by Minnesota radio show host Chris Baker, on 100.3 KTLK Radio at 6.00 am, December 2, 2010, over evidence that Ritchie was a “non party friend” of the Communist Party USA, the Minnesota S.O.S. evaded the question and called the allegations as “political attack” and “horsepuckey”.

Here’s part of the Communist Party USA document that names Mark Ritchie as a “non party friend”.

For the full four-page document go here

For my five previous articles on Ritchie’s communist, socialist and George Soros ties, go here.

Mark Ritchie is not only a secret friend of the Communist Party, he is now a proven liar.

Mark Ritchie makes a big deal of the fact the fact that he was “resoundingly” elected by the people of Minnesota. True – but if every Minnesota voter knew of Ritchie’s Communist Party ties, would he still have won?

Would Mark Ritchie’s Wellstone Action advisory committee colleague Al Franken be a Minnesota Senator today had not Mark Ritchie not overseen the 2009 Senate election recount?

Will Mark Ritchie’s Wellstone Action advisory committee colleague Mark Dayton become Minnesota Governor with the help of another Ritchie supervised  election recount?

Mark Ritchie should be made to answer these charges properly – preferably under oath.

Please circulate this video and blog post to every Minnesotan you know.

Socialists Manipulate Illegals for Political Gain

Saturday, December 18th, 2010

Cross-posted from the New Zeal blog

Veteran Democratic Socialists of America member, communist front activist and United Farmworkers leader Dolores Huerta joined protestors at  the San Antonio offices of  Texas Republican Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, December 6.

At least 16 activists were on the 27th day of an hunger strike in support of passage of the so-called DREAM Act.

Seen by many as a back door method of achieving amnesty for millions of illegal aliens,  the DREAM Act, would offer young people brought illegally to the U.S. by undocumented parents, a path to citizenship if they go to college or enlist in the military for two years.

Huerta’s support is not surprising as America’s largest Marxist organization the D.S.A. has long been campaigning for amnesty in various guises.

Huerta’s fellow D.S.A. honorary chair  and SEIU vice president Eliseo Medina is the most influential pro-amnesty activist in the country.

Medina let the cat out of the bag on the real reason for D.S.A.’s push for illegal alien amnesty during a speech At the America’s Future Now! conference in Washington, DC on June 2, 2009.

Medina revealed that  legalizing 12 million illegal aliens would create at  at least 8 million new Democratic voters to create “a governing coalition for the long term, not just for an election cycle…”

That’s what this is about. Huerta, Medina and their D.S.A. comrades are using Latinos to give their Democrat allies almost  permanent power.

How cynical is that?

Chinese Communists Confer With Dem and G.O.P. Comrades

Friday, December 17th, 2010

Cross-posted from the New Zeal blog

A bit like making friends with the Nazis in 1937.

Any Republican office holders involved in this shameful charade should be marked down for a serious primary challenge at the first opportunity.

From the Communist Party of China International Department website.

WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 — Senior officials of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the U.S. Democratic and Republican Parties on Friday concluded a two-day meeting designed to promote party-to-party exchanges.

The second high-level dialogue was co-chaired by Wang Jiarui, visiting minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, and former U.S. secretary of state Madeleine Albright and former assistant secretary of state Richard Williamson, who represented the Democrats and the Republicans respectively.

During the two-day event, the two sides conducted candid, open and in-depth dialogues over governance philosophy and practices, China-U.S. relations as well as major international and regional issues of common interest.

The CPC delegates introduced the main content and significance of the CPC proposals on the 12th five-year plan and elaborated on the CPC philosophy and practices of pursuing scientific, peaceful and harmonious development and its policies on major domestic and international issues.

Delegates of the Democratic and Republican Parties provided separate briefings on the current political and economic situation in the United States and major opportunities and challenges facing the country.

Wang said that through the dialogues, both sides have realized that as major political parties of the biggest developing country and the most developed country respectively, they are faced with similar tasks in the 21st century.

If the two sides conduct exchanges through candid communication from a strategic and long-term perspective, he said, it would be of great importance to a positive, cooperative and comprehensive Sino-U.S. relationship in the 21st century.

Wang hoped that both sides would continue to exchange views on global challenges, major international affairs and key issues in bilateral relations in the future in an attempt to consolidate the political basis for the China-U.S. relationship.

Albright and Williamson said the success of both the first and second high-level dialogues demonstrated strong desires from both sides to increase exchanges and the great importance both have attached to the party-to-party dialogue channel.

This mechanism has opened a new chapter of direct exchanges and communication between political parties of the two countries and constituted a new channel of strategic communication and all-around cooperation between the two countries, they said.

Albright and Williamson said the dialogue mechanism has become an important component of a maturing bilateral relationship in the 21st century and has provided fresh impetus for its growth.

Both sides agreed to hold the third high-level dialogue at an appropriate time.

Australian Communists Back Wikileaks

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

Cross-posted from the New Zeal blog

A leading Australian Communist Party has come out in defense of Wikileaks and its founder Julian Assange.

The Socialist Alliance has issued a statement in support of Wikileaks, while the organization’s newspaper Green Left Weekly has devoted a cover story to Assange and his project.

The Socialist Alliance’s statement is printed on the website of the S.A’s other publication LINKS “a journal of international socialist renewal”.

“The Australian government should defend and support Wikileaks and its founder Julian Assange and their efforts to expose the lies, duplicities and outright crimes of the US government and its allies”, said Peter Boyle, national convener of the Socialist Alliance on December 7.

“We condemn the Australian government for collaborating with the US government in hunting Julian Assange down. The exposure of classified US government cables and other material by Wikileaks is an enormous plus for all those who are fighting for truth and democracy, and against war and exploitation. Wikileaks and Assange deserve our strongest support.

“The Wikileaks exposures are not a threat to life and safety. Rather, the forces that want to silence Wikileaks are the most deadly threat to human lives, as Wikileaks releases of US documents on the bloodbaths in Iraq and Afghanistan so dramatically show.

‘The Labor government must immediately guarantee that it will extend to Assange the basic rights of any other Australian citizen… It must also offer no assistance at all to the brutal US campaign to close Wikileaks and silence Assange.’

“The Australian Labor government must immediately guarantee that it will extend to Assange the basic rights of any other Australian citizen to return to Australia and get any consular support and assistance requested.

“It must also offer no assistance at all to the brutal US campaign to close Wikileaks and silence Assange.

“An Australian government acting in the interest of the people would do everything in its power to protect Assange from the grave threats that have been made to arrest or even assassinate him for what he has done.

“It would offer to help keep the Wikileaks websites up, in the face of mounting cyber attacks and denials of service and hosting. And it would refuse to cooperate with any attempts to have Assange detained and or extradited.”

A government for the people would also help maximise Wikileak’s exposure of the war criminals and immediately break the Australian-US military alliance”, Boyle said.

The Socialist Alliance is joining with other groups and individuals in a campaign of solidarity with Wikileaks, and to force Prime Minister Julia Gillard government to abide by its responisbilities to Julian Assange as an Australian citizen.

The Socialist Alliance, formerly known as the Democratic Socialist Party and Socialist Workers Party, is Australia’s largest Marxist-Leninist formation.

Strongly tied to both Cuba and Venezuela, the S.A. is also close to the Trotskyist Fourth International, some major Maoist parties in India and Nepal and some former and current “mainstream” communist parties.

Andre Brie, a leader of the former East German Communist Party serves on the LINKS
editorial advisory board.

LINKS contributing editors include;

Almost certainly some of these people, particularly the Cubans would have intelligence connections.

Is the Socialist Alliance merely jumping on an anti U.S. bandwagon, or are they trying to drive it, at the behest of some of their foreign friends?

Interestingly Julian Assange was active in radical circles in Melbourne as a teenager. Did he ever cross paths with Socialist Alliance (then Democratic Socialist Party) comrades at that time?

As Melbourne was a D.S.P. stronghold, it is certainly possible.

Is Julian Assange truly a lone wolf, or is he being used? Perhaps some clues could be found in Melbourne.

Dilma Rousseff – Brazil’s Radical President Profiled

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

Cross-posted from the New Zeal blog

22yr-old Dilma Rousseff, 1970

All Westerners should be alarmed at recent election results in one of the world’s most powerful economies – Brazil.

The new president of Brazil, Dilma Roussseff is even more radical than her marxist predecessor and can in no way be seen as any sort of ally by Western governments – except perhaps the Obama Administration.

Dilma Rousseff was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1947. Her mother was a schoolteacher and her father a political exile from Bulgaria where he had been active with the Communist Party.

During her high school years, Dilma became influenced by the writings of French political theorist Régis Debray and by a teacher and future comrade who taught her Marxism. In 1967 she joined a radical faction of the Brazilian Socialist Party.

Rousseff’ faction of the Brazilian Socialist Party, Política Operária (Worker’s Politics), split and they became part of a group that favored armed struggle against the dictatorship. It soon joined with other Marxist, anti-government militant groups to form COLINA. During this time Rousseff instructed her comrades on Marxist theory and wrote for an underground newspaper.

In 1967, the small COLINA group that Rousseff, then aged 19, was a member of in Belo Horizonte, carried out bank robberies, car thefts and a couple of bombings. In January 1969, the police invaded COLINA’s house and the militants responded by using a machine gun, which killed two policemen and wounded another. Dilma went underground, later participating in the formation of the Revolutionary Armed Vanguard Palmares. After that group split , Dilma was sent to Sao Paolo, where she was charged with guarding the groups weapons – which she hid under her bed.

Rousseff later ended up in the clandestine Palmares Armed Revolutionary Vanguard. In the 1960s and 1970s, members of such organizations seized foreign diplomats for ransom: a U.S. ambassador was swapped for a dozen political prisoners; a German ambassador was exchanged for 40 militants; a Swiss envoy swapped for 70. They also shot alleged U.S. torture experts sent to train the generals’ death squads.

Around the time she became involved with COLINA, Rousseff met and fell in love with a man named Cláudio Galeno Linhares, an older comrade-in-arms. After a year of dating, the couple married. When police broke up their guerrilla faction, the couple parted ways, with Rousseff leaving for Rio de Janeiro where she would soon meet Carlos Araújo who also had been imprisoned as a militant. The two became lovers.

Rousseff was labeled one of Brazil’s most wanted and beautiful fugitives. After three years underground, At the age of nineteen she was captured in 1970 by Brazil’s military police, in a “sting” operation and was considered a big enough catch that a military prosecutor labeled her the “Joan of Arc” of the guerrilla movement. She was submitted to several weeks of brutal torture while held in the Tiradentes prison.

Charged with subversion by the right-wing military government, she suffered through the disappearance and torture of her Marxist companions, some of whom died or were killed by the military. Rousseff was held in prison for three years, being released in 1972. The government forbade her to engage in political activities. However, as a fighter for Brazil’s left-wing guerrilla movement in 1969, she exchanged a wedding dress for fatigues and remained in the underground.

63-yr old Dilma Rousseff, 2010

Following her release, Rousseff moved to Porto Alegre, where Araújo was from and where he was imprisoned until 1974. Rousseff returned to studying economics, graduating in 1977. In 1976, she gave birth to her only child, Paula Rousseff Araújo. Around this time, her former husband Galeno returned from political exile, and with his new partner, lived in the same house as Araújo and Rousseff. Rousseff lost her first job because of her subversive past and returned to university to pursue a master’s degree.

In the early 1980s, as the generals loosened their grip on the country, Rousseff and Araújo became active in the Democratic Labour Party of Brazil (PDT), led by Leonel Brizola, brother-in-law of João Goulart, overthrown in the 1964 coup. The PDT won elections and Rousseff held a series of jobs as an adviser and bureaucrat at the local and state level. In 1993, the state governor of Rio Grande do Sul appointed her Energy secretary. She left that post the next year, as well as her relationship with Araújo after discovering another woman was pregnant with his child. They reconciled two years later but broke up again in 2000.

When PDT leader, Leonel Brizola, pressed members of the party who were ministers in the state government to step down, Rousseff left the PDT and in 2001 joined the Workers’ Party of Brazil, led by pro-Cuban Marxist Lula da Silva. Rousseff temporarily left her government position in 2002 to work on Lula’s successful campaign for president. Once in office as president of Brazil, he named her minister of Mines and Energy. Then in 2005, Rousseff took on the role of Lula’s chief of staff. It was around this time that speculation began that Rousseff would be Lula’s choice to succeed him as president.

In 2009, Rousseff was diagnosed with lymphoma, and subsequently treated with chemotherapy which was successful.

“Lula”, Dilma Rousseff, meet Barack Obama

When her campaign for presidency kicked off in February 2009, the campaign presented her as the one to continue Lula’s largely market friendly policies and social welfare programs. She told voters that she was “going to follow Lula’s path.” In March 2009, following a meeting with Barack Obama in the United States, Obama promptly asked his campaign strategists to reject a request by Brazil’s Social Democrats (PSDB) and to instead advise Dilma’s campaign.

The significance of this move cannot be overstated. president Obama used his authority to transfer Democratic Party support from a comparatively moderate, leftist party, to a full blown ally of the Communist Party of Brazil. Lula’s Workers’ Party, which includes major communist and Trotskyist factions, has been openly allied to the Communist Party since 1989.

Communist Party of Brazil members have held posts in the “Lula” Government since 2003.

Although Rousseff had little name recognition or experience as a candidate, she enjoyed a smooth ride to presidency. Then-president Lula da Silva used his 80-percent approval ratings to campaign incessantly for Rousseff, his former chief-of-staff and political protégé. In March 2010, the Communist Party of Brazil endorsed Dilma Rousseff’s candidacy. Rousseff breezed into power with 56% of the vote to 44% for Jose Serra of the centrist Social Democratic Party of Brazil, and the candidate of a right-center coalition.

The Communist Party USA predictably, welcomed Rousseff’s victory, almost as enthusiastically as they welcomed their “friend” Barack Obama in 2008. The American communists stated that Rousseff’s election would result in Latin American economies becoming “less dependent on their relationships with the United States.”

The revolutionary governments of Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador also welcomed the new president.

At least Barack Obama now has one reliable ally in Latin America.

Rationing Proposed at Cancun

Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

Cross-posted from the New Zeal blog

The 2010 United Nations Climate Change Conference is currently being held in Cancún, Mexico. It runs from 29 November to 10 December. It has been stated that 194 countries are represented at the conference – which probably covers every country in the World. A number of the physicists and chemists from such respected scientific institutions as Oxford University and the Met Office attending the conference are agreed that the current plans to solve global warming are not enough. Seeking to “improve” on the 2009 Copenhagen resolution to keep temperature rise below 3.6F, the Cancun conference is seeking to legally obligate countries to cut emissions by 50 per cent by 2050 relative to 1990 levels. Louise Gray at The Telegraph discusses one of the proposals; government rationing of goods, and a halt in economic growth in the “rich world”,

“In one paper Professor Kevin Anderson, Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, said the only way to reduce global emissions enough, while allowing the poor nations to continue to grow, is to halt economic growth in the rich world over the next twenty years. This would mean a drastic change in lifestyles for many people in countries like Britain as everyone will have to buy less ‘carbon intensive’ goods and services such as long haul flights and fuel hungry cars. Prof Anderson admitted it “would not be easy” to persuade people to reduce their consumption of goods He said politicians should consider a rationing system similar to the one introduced during the last “time of crisis” in the 1930s and 40s. This could mean a limit on electricity so people are forced to turn the heating down, turn off the lights and replace old electrical goods like huge fridges with more efficient models. Food that has traveled from abroad may be limited and goods that require a lot of energy to manufacture. “The Second World War and the concept of rationing is something we need to seriously consider if we are to address the scale of the problem we face,” he said.”

I hate to think what they intend to do to “disbelievers” who dare to speak out and say that production and consumption are good things, essential for our well-being and human progress.

Capitalism is about abundance and life. Socialism is about rationing and death. That’s the bottom line.

Maoists Gather in Hamburg to Make the “Leap That the World Revolution Demands”

Monday, December 13th, 2010

Cross-posted from the New Zeal blog

Supporters of the ultra Maoist Communist Party of Peru are gathering in Hamburg, Germany to co-ordinate international support for the Peruvian revolution and the expansion of Maoist revolution worldwide.

The Communist party of Peru almost conquered Peru in the early 1990s through their Sendero Luminoso (Shining Path) guerrilla movement.

Their U.S. affiliate is known as the Revolutionary Communist Party, which is led by former Students for a Democratic Society leader Bob Avakian .

Comrade Bob has recently returned to the U.S. after many years self imposed exile in Paris – probably to take a more active role in an expected upsurge of revolutionary upsurge in his homeland.

From the Red Sun website;

We invite all who are part of the International Communist Movement to participate in the International Conference organized byPeru People’s Movement (MPP), commissioned by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Peru on December 4, 2010 in the city of Hamburg in Germany. This conference is a continuation of the conferences we have held this year in Stockholm (Sweden) in April, Madrid (Spain) in May and now last in September in Milan ( Italy ). The purpose of these conferences is to develop the debate within the International Communist Movement in accordance with the provisions of the Central Committee of the PCP in a document that was sent to the first of the conferences held: “The objective of the present event is to serve in making the leap that the world revolution demands. The PCP puts forward the realization of an expanded Conference of the RIM with the participation of all the members, in order to address, from our position, the following points:

1. Evaluation of the application of Maoism. The fundamental point in Maoism, and the Great Cultural Revolution.
2. The Experience of the international proletariat, principally of those who develop people’s war.
3. The struggle against today’s revisionism.”

Whatever their other faults, the Maoists certainly produce the best posters.

Socialists Motivated by Wikileaks – “It is Time to Tear Down the Empire”

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

Cross-posted from the New Zeal blog

Whatever the motivation of the Wikileakers, the far left is using the leaks to motivate their base.

Andrea Pason and Billy Wharton are co-chairs of the Socialist Party USA. They just published this statement in LINKS, an international marxist journal run by the Australian Socialist Alliance.

The latest Wikileaks revelations should be a call to action for all Americans. It is time to tear down the empire that has been created in their name. Two tasks are first and foremost. We need to create a vibrant movement to end the wars being waged in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan. No more occupations, no more military surges and no more drone attacks. Simultaneously, we must demand that the prison facility at Guantanamo Bay be closed immediately. Achieving such demands will open a political space to more directly challenge the centre of the military industrial complex by calling for an immediate reduction of the military budget by 50% and the closing of all US military bases abroad.

As democratic socialists, we imagine another society, where the great wealth this world produces is put to use to meet human needs. Such a world would not need the secret cloak that covers the operations of the US empire. It would, instead, be based on notions that seem very distant from our current reality – democracy, free association and self-determination. We think that democratic socialism holds the potential to live up to these lofty ideals. Let the Wikileaks disclosures provide the motivation for you to join in this struggle.

Whenever you want to know who is behind a project, look at who has most to gain.

The far left clearly has more to gain from Wikileaks, than do those who want to preserve freedom and the American republic.

Lone Congressman Stands Up to Major “Guilt” Scam

Saturday, December 11th, 2010

Cross-posted from the New Zeal blog

Remember the Shirley Sherrod scandal?

On Tuesday, the House voted to give $4.55 billion to black and American Indian “farmers” who claim the Department of Agriculture or the Interior Department discriminated against them in some way. The word “farmers” is in quotation marks because, in one lawsuit alone, five times as many people filed for refunds than ever owned or operated a farm in any way.

Is this is part of Barack Obama’s plan to give minority groups that vote heavily Democratic — including blacks, Hispanics, American Indians, and women – “stealth reparations”? The standard of evidence for discrimination is minimal , which fuels the number of applicants ready to cash in at the taxpayers’ expense. Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, is a maverick and an uncompromising patriot who urged his fellow Congressmen to vote against the funding and to “make investigation of Pigford fraud a top priority.”

Here is Steve King’s unfortunately unheeded speech on the House floor against this latest “guilt” scam.

This is the Communist Party USA take on the story – from today’s Peoples World.

The bill sets aside $1.15 billion to settle claims of racist discrimination against Black farmers by the USDA. It sets aside an additional $3.4 billion to compensate American Indians who were cheated out of billions in royalties for oil, gas and timber harvested from their lands because of Interior Department mismanagement…
Meanwhile, Koch Oil admits stealing $31 million worth of oil from Indian tribes in Oklahoma by deliberately understating the quantity of oil they were pumping from wells on the reservations. The Interior Department would have been culpable in Koch’s theft since federal law mandates that they manage oil and gas leases on tribal lands. Koch stole additional billions from taxpayers over the past forty years by lying on how much oil and gas they were pumping from federal lands. Some of that stolen oil and gas paid for the billionaire Koch brother’s drive to steal the Nov. 2 midterm elections by secretly funding a campaign of lies and smears targeting Democratic incumbents. The Koch brothers have doled out at least $100 million to bankroll the Tea Party and a network of other rightwing extremist gangs.

Not content with gloating over an huge rip-off of taxpayer funds, the commies have to slander the Tea Party movement as well. Way to go comrades!
